Vanessa Amorosi yesterday apologised to her fanbase over the delayed release of her forthcoming album ‘V’.
In the apology (left – click in image for larger version), she makes a very frank admission that things “haven’t gone to plan as I hoped”.
‘V’ was originally slated for an October 28 release and was subsequently delayed until November 11.
But with the non-performance of singles ‘Gossip’ and ‘Amazing’, it appears it’s very much a case of back to the drawing board, with further work to be done on the long player – and it’s completely disappeared from the Universal Music release schedule.
This comes even after the cover image and tracklisting were locked in (HERE).
Some retail outlets are still suggesting the LP (and deluxe edition) will get a release in late January, well clear of the pre-Christmas rush.

Such a shame, love both singles and from iTunes bought both the singles and video’s. Got the Gossip Physical single as well.
I actually prefer the MachoPsycho remix of Gossip with the extra lyrics, In feel it adds to the song where the single release is bare bones. Love it all though :).
Right now it seems a lot of Australian artists with great songs are struggling.

Sounds like she realised she actually needed a hit song or two to make it work. I think this is a good decision, as clearly nobody was buying into either of the singles she was pushing. She needs to stop trying to repeat herself and come up with something people want to hear.
