It’s such a crying shame that this single went sliding through the commercial radio cracks a couple of months back, because it deserved better… Much, MUCH better. Even the minimalism of ‘We Love’ (which we didn’t particularly) peaked almost 40 places higher on the charts than the monstrously huge, positive pop of ‘Big’.
Minimalistic verses layered with Connie’s sweet song of hope, positivity and potential lifetime love make way for a chorus that’s as infectious as measles and as big, grand and epic as Caesar’s Palace. Miss Connie needn’t have donned the sequinned outfit for the official clip (below) – because the song sparkles enough in its own right. Sure, it was criminally overlooked at radio, but that won’t stop us giving it the ‘Big’ thumbs-up. Pop peeps… This is the moment we’ve been waiting for – it’s our No.09 Pop Single Of The Year; Sneaky Sound System’s ‘Big’.
