It’s been a relatively big week of news for Aussie fans of US songstress Lana Del Rey. First her record company Universal Music announced the forthcoming local release of her debut album ‘Born To Die’, then word also quickly spread about live dates in both Sydney and Melbourne early next year.
Today, however, the news gets even more exciting for future success for the 25 year old, with confirmation from Universal that those two live shows sold out entirely in “literally” two minutes this morning.
The new single (and album title track) ‘Born To Die’ has been rush-released to radio today – and the official video for the track (below) has also been released, notching up more than 240,000 hits in just over 24 hours.
Looks like 2012 might very well be Lana’s year.
