DENI HINES : It’s Alright
She’s recently been seen on Australian TV screens stirring up the pot on Channel 9’s ‘Celebrity Apprentice’, but back in 1995, she was churning up the charts with her debut solo offering ‘It’s Alright’. Deni had come off the back of a couple of top five collaborations with Aussie outfit The Rockmelons (including the 1992 smash ‘That Word (L.O.V.E.)’) and launched herself on the public with this awesome, fresh piece of R&B/pop.
The clip features Deni and her bevy of backing dancers making the most of the (at the time) newly constructed Anzac Bridge in Sydney. In the meantime, we can see her getting down and sexy with a young man and writhing saucily beneath the sheets in the intercut scenes. Raunchy minx, that Denzo.

This was an awesome piece of aussie pOp and it was huge back then – thanks for the nostalgia, auspOp! (wish she would just make a comeback to pop/R&B already though…)
