Outrage! Nothing but outrage from West Australian fans of both the Backstreet Boys and New Kids On The Block when the recently announced national tour by the fusion boyband contained one glaring omission; a concert in Perth.
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide were all on board, but the W.A. capital missed out.
Cue a spirited campaign from the band’s fans, after which touring company Live Nation was forced to act, succumbing to the pressure and adding a NKOTBSB date at the Burswood Dome at the tail end of the visit.
Fans will be treated to a cavalcade of boy band classics such as as ‘Step By Step’, ‘You Got It (The Right Stuff)’, ‘Hangin’ Tough’, ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’, ‘Larger Than Life’, ‘As Long As You Love Me’ and ‘I Want It That Way’.
Tickets for the Perth show are on sale on Friday December 16.
May 19 : Melbourne (Rod Laver Arena)
May 21 : Adelaide (Entertainment Centre)
May 23 : Brisbane (Entertainment Centre)
May 26 : Sydney (Allphones Arena)
May 29 : Perth (Burswood Dome) NEW SHOW

Hey Anonymous,
Completely – the same could be said for the ACT and Northern Territory, but due to lack of population, most concert tours bypass them all and concentrate on the five major centres.

There is still one glaring omission…or isn’t Hobart/Tas counted as part of Australia anymore??
