Not the news that Australia’s (or the world’s for that matter) Jason Derulo fans were wanting to hear, but the singer has been forced into cancelling his forthcoming tour schedule because of a serious neck injury, sustained during training for the upcoming tour earlier this week.
The injury was so serious (a fractured vertebrae) that the singer could have been paralysed, after he landed on his head during an acrobatic move.
Jason’s tour was due to kick off in Scotland in late February before it snaked its way across to us for seven dates in April and May. Naturally, the star was devastated.
“To all my fans who planned to come to the Future History World tour, the pain of letting you down cuts me way deeper than this injury I’ve sustained,” he said in a statement. “My fans mean everything to me, so I’m praying for a speedy recovery in order to perform for you in the near future.”
Fans holding tickets can return to the place of purchase for a full refund.
