It was back in November that touring agent Michael Coppel first announced the long-awaited return to Aussie shores of British outfit Elbow.
Since then, sales have been ticking over across the country and their support act, Bombay Bicycle Club, have even announced headline performances.
But it seems that the good people of Brisbane wanted more, with Coppel today announcing the addition of a second and final show in the Queensland capital.
Elbow, celebrating their 20th anniversary in the music industry this year, released their latest album ‘Build A Rocket Boys’ to critical acclaim earlier this year. Their previous long player – 2008’s ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’ – delivered the band the coveted Mercury Prize.
Re-issues of their albums ‘Cast Of Thousands’ and ‘Leaders Of The Free World’ will be released just weeks before their visit.
Tickets for the new Brisbane date are on sale on Monday February 06.
