It’s been five long years since they last toured Australia, but touring agent Michael Coppel has today announced that US rock outfit Evanescence will return in just two months time to perform five shows across the east coast.
The run of shows kicks off in Canberra on Friday March 23, before visiting Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle and Sydney. Perth and Adelaide miss out.
Evanescence hit the big time here in Australia with their debut single ‘Bring Me To Life’ in 2003, notching up No.1 success and paving the way for future top five hits ‘My Immortal’ and ‘Call Me When You’re Sober’.
All three of the band’s albums have hit the top five; the first two (‘Fallen’ and ‘The Open Door’) were multiple-platinum-selling No.1s.
Joining Evanescence in the support role will be US electro duo Blaqk Audio.
Tickets for all dates are on sale on Thursday February 09.
