Hot on the heels of her six wins at last week’s Grammy Awards, Remote Control Records has this week officially serviced Adele’s new single ‘Turning Tables’ (cover art pictured above) to Australian radio.
It follows on from the international megahits ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and ‘Someone Like You’, the stunning ‘Set Fire To The Rain’ and ‘Rumour Has It’, which went to radio in November.
And despite the company not having any of the accreditations updated for quite some time, Remote Control has confirmed via the servicing that ’21’ is now an incredible 12 times platinum in Australia – for sales of more than 840,000 copies.
They’ve yet to update the accreditations via ARIA, where the album still officially sits on ten times platinum. Accreditations for the album’s singles, along with previous album ’19’ are also yet to be updated.
Given ’21’ made it back to the No.1 position on the ARIA albums chart this week, and with a new single now at radio, it’s a safe bet that we haven’t yet seen the last of Adele.

Well done Adele. 160,000 off 1,000,000, I hope she reaches it soon.
