• Warner Music Australia has official confirmed the forthcoming release of the new Sean Paul album ‘Tomahawke Technique’. The LP campaign kicked off with his recent Alexis Jordan-featured track ‘Got 2 Luv U’ and its successor ‘She Doesn’t Mind’, but there’s plenty more to come, including collaborations with Mya, Kelly Rowland, Bob Sinclar, T-Pain, Pitbull and more. ‘Tomahawke Technique’ is due in Australian stores on Friday March 09.
• Madonna’s Superbowl half-time performance was a real show stopper, with a succession of classic Madge hits broken up by her new single ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ slap bang in the middle. The track consequently bulleted into the upper echelons of iTunes charts around the world, with the album rocketing to No.1 on iTunes charts globally on pre-orders alone.
• Local fans of rap group D12, who toured Australia recently, will be dribbling into their suppers with the news that the band has teamed up with Eminem for a track called ‘Fame’. The tune has been released as an Australian exclusive – and it’s available as a free download HERE.• M.I.A’s new single ‘Bad Girls’ is one of a selection of new tunes out at Aussie radio this week. It’s the lead single from the British singer’s new album, due for release later this year.
• Also out at radio this week are tracks by The Fray (‘Run For Your Life’), T.Mills (‘Vans On’), the Nadia Ali, Starkillers & Alex Kenji collaboration ‘Pressure’ and, of course, Madonna’s ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’.
• Sony Music has announced the forthcoming release of the second solo studio album from guitarist Slash. The new LP is not yet titled, but the rock god has hinted at an Australian tour off the back of the new LP. It’s due to hit retail here on Friday May 18.• It’s been a long time between drinks for US outfit Garbage, but their new music is seriously starting to take shape. They’ve been teasing fans with a series of little clips over on their official YOUTUBE channel over the past few days, giving us all a little hint of what to expect when their new album drops later this year.
• Michael Coppel has announced a second Melbourne show for British singer/songwriter Nick Lowe. The singer’s first show in the Victorian capital (on Thursday March 22) has now all but sold out, with a new date at the Forum Theatre added on Friday March 23. Tickets are on sale on Monday February 13.
• Lead singer of The Butterfly Effect, Clint Boge, has called it quits, leaving the band to pursue other interests. The two parties are leaving on good terms, however, with Clint joining the band for one last tour throughout April and May before he rides off into the sunset. The other band members are yet to state their intentions.• On the British singles chart this week, hometown girl Sia has another No.1 hit on her hands – this time with David Guetta for the amazing ‘Titanium’. Amazingly, she’s also in the UK top five with Flo Rida (‘Wild Ones’ at No.5) and sandwiched slap-bang in the middle of the two placings is Gotye & Kimbra’s ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’, which is up four places to No.3 this week.
• And Lana Del Rey’s major label debut ‘Born To Die’ has premiered atop the British albums chart. Leonard Cohen’s ‘Old Ideas’ wasn’t too far behind, however, debuting at No.2, with Ed Sheeran’s ‘+’ and Adele’s ’21’ sliding. David Guetta’s ‘Nothing But The Beat’ moves up into the top ten.

Any new updates on JOHNNY RUFFO? We were suppose to hear something music wise at the end of Jan 2012?

Hey Anonymous,
We’ve heard nothing about a third Kelly Clarkson single just yet. No doubt plans for it are brewing at the Sony Music offices. At this stage, however, plans have not been set free to the media.
