Supafest has fast become a must-do for Aussie R&B lovers, as for the past two years it’s delivered upon us a cavalcade of top name international soul, R&B and rap stars.
Fans’ appetites were well and truly whetted for this year’s event back in October when the first artist announcement came through – with artists like Kelly Rowland, P.Diddy, Ice Cube, Trey Songz, Lupe Fiasco and US rapper Rick Ross all mentioned on the bill.
Since then, however, fans have been patiently awaiting the second line-up announcement. It was supposed to come last week, however there’s been a slight delay and the news will now land on Friday this week.
Still there’s no denying the organisers’ excitement for what’s set to be another mammoth year for the festival.
“We have worked extremely hard to put together a line-up that we know the fans will love – we stayed patient and waited for the right acts to become available so we could produce a diverse artist lineup that would satisfy our broad audience base. We have so much amazing talent on the one bill – its amazing!!!”
The final announcement will include “some of the leading urban and R&B acts in the world” as well as “one of the hottest young acts in the US today”.
