Now that Tina Arena is back on Aussie soil as part of Channel 10’s revamped ‘Young Talent Time’ and that she’s already announced shows in both Sydney and Perth, the time has come for the singer to add a date in her hometown. But we’ve been warned… There’s to be one show only.
Tina will perform as part of Melbourne’s Hamer Hall re-opening celebrations on Saturday July 28 and will be accompanied by a 54 piece orchestra as she performs her hit single ‘Chains’ along with others from her ‘Songs Of Love & Loss’ series.
On announcing the one-off show, Tina said, “It’s hard to believe that when Hamer Hall first opened, I was already a professional singer and I did one of my very first shows here back then. To be back in my home town, fronting my own orchestra in a place that is both very special to me and such a superb concert hall is close to heaven.”
Melbourne’s Hamer Hall will re-open this year after a two year $128 million redevelopment.
Tickets for the one-off show are on sale on Wednesday February 22.
