Most of our lovely readers won’t ever have heard of singer Alston Koch, but those who have a long and faithful memory certainly may.
Alston was a member of the ’70s outfit Dark Tan, who experienced chart success via legendary music show ‘Countdown’ with their single ‘Disco Lady’. The track went on to be accredited gold (35,000 copies), but years later Alston left our sunny shores to carve out a successful career overseas – mostly in Asia.
Now with the recent swathe of R&B/dance hybrids swamping our charts, Alston is back with a brand new single entitled ‘Soul Sounds’ and a swag of remixes to boot, one of which comes courtesy of PWL legends Ian Curnow and Dave Ford.
It’s lifted from the singer’s new album ‘Don’t Funk With Me’, which is available at iTunes and via JB Hifi stores.
Sydney-siders will recognise a number of locations contained within the official video (below), which broke late last week.

Hey Jennyone,
We actually don’t have any details on the video’s director, nor whether it will be released for purchase, unfortunately.
