We were most taken with the new single for Melbourne alt-pop outfit Buckley Ward when their label Shock Records brought it to our attention last month. We described it at the time as “a gorgeous summer indie-pop track”, containing “lovely harmonies, a bright tempo filled with guitars, piano and percussion, all wrapped in a package that will make you want to open all the windows and let the summer breeze in.”
The clip is now out and about – and it would appear that not everything is as it should be out in the suburbs, with a horde of zombies seemingly hell-bent on taking over the world – and the clip.
Thankfully the band can outrun them (one doesn’t have legs) and they find themselves jamming on top of a factory where they’re apparently safe from harm. Of course, they send out for a little help just in case.
