After a nine year absence from our shores, ‘The Purple One’ has been causing quite the reaction at ticket sites this morning, with tickets flying out the door for his upcoming East Coast tour.
Demand has been so strong that organisers have just announced two more shows have been added to the schedule – one each in Sydney and Melbourne.
Fans will be treated to a greatest hits tour, so audiences can expect to hear smash singles like ‘Purple Rain’, ‘Raspberry Beret’, ‘Cream’, ‘Little Red Corvette’, ‘When Doves Cry’, ‘Diamonds And Pearls’ and the stunning ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’.
Tickets for the new dates are on sale now.

Worst ticket buying experience of my life! While trying to pay for my tickets, Ticketek encountered “an unexpected error” and I was kicked off the site, forced to wait in the queue again for 40 minutes before I could attempt to buy tickets again. Online articles indicate that I’m not the only one who had the same problem (identical circumstances were described on Twitter, according to The Courier Mail in Brisbane). I eventually got a ticket, but it’s nowhere near as good as the brilliant ticket I was originally allocated but lost due to the “unexpected error”. Epic fail, Ticketek….
