Though US outfit The Black Keys have been rumbling in the ARIA charts since 2004, it was only really at the end of last year that the band really started to hit its chart strides down under, with their album ‘El Camino’ hitting the top five, claiming a platinum accreditation and spawning a No.2 double platinum single (that would, of course, be ‘Lonely Boy’).
Now comes news that the band will be hitting Australia in October for a series of live shows that promoters are promising will be “electrifying”.
With projectors and mirror balls in tow, the band will play Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Newcastle, with an appearance also locked in at the Rock It Festival in Joondalup, north of Perth.
Tickets for all shows are on sale at midday today.
