His voice may be a little deeper on album No.2 (thanks to that extraordinary vocal finally breaking), but there’s certainly no mistaking the power, passion and soul from previous Australia’s Got Talent winner Jack Vidgen.
The singer’s new album, as revealed here a few weeks back, is entitled ‘Inspire’ and contains a collection of Jack’s favourite contemporary songs, all infused with a more soulful, gospel flavour. Included are tracks like ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, ‘What A Wonderful World’, ‘I’ll Be There’ and ‘Happy Day’.
“I hope that if people are going through a rough time and listen to my album it will help them through,” Jack says in a statement. “That’s another reason I wanted to make this album: for people who are going through rough times. I hope it moves them when they listen to it. I think people will feel uplifted and happier and will feel something when they listen to it.”
To celebrate the release of the new album, Jack will hit the road for a series of live dates throughout New South Wales and the ACT, kicking off with a performance at Bluebeat in Double Bay next Friday (April 27). Dates stretch through until the middle of July, so below is where you’ll find him.
