Former Girls Aloud member and ‘X Factor’ judge Cheryl Cole has been teasing her burgeoning fanbase with little snippets of her new video for the last couple of weeks, the latest of which premiered just a couple of days ago.
Penned and produced by man-of-the-moment Calvin Harris, ‘Call My Name’ is international in sound, slick in production and undoubtedly destined to take over dancefloors in clubs across the globe.
And after quite possibly the most exciting pop tunnel exit since Rachel Stevens in the ‘Some Girls’ clip, Cheryl begins her all-out assault on the US market, traversing the floodways of Los Angeles in a brightly coloured ensemble, swapping occasionally for a pair of fluorescent heels and a pair of leopard-print barely-there shorts. She clearly wants to get noticed.
‘Call My Name’ bubbles with energy. It’s a super-confident new single and will ensure that Cheryl picks up a lot of new fans.
No word yet on any Australian action for Cheryl’s new tunes, but you know where you’ll read is when there is.
