Big Day Out organisers had their fans in a frenzy overnight, with many staying up until midnight on a school night to catch the first glimpse of the 2013 line-up.
And they were treated to a cavalcade of big name acts, all headlined by Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Killers.
According to organisers, Red Hot Chili Peppers haven’t appeared at an Australian festival since 2000, so they’ll be taking to the stage for their exclusive Australian appearances as part of Big Day Out.
Also included on the bill for 2013 are Yeah Yeah Yeahs, 360, Vampire Weekend, Band Of Horses, B.o.B, Animal Collective, Sleigh Bells, The Bloody Beetroots, Kaskade, Nicky Romero, Morgan Page, Sampology and many more.
Tickets for all shows are on sale this Thursday from 7pm local time in Sydney, 8pm local time for Perth and the Gold Coast, 9:00pm local time for Melbourne and 9:30pm local time for Adelaide.
January 18 : Sydney (Showground)
January 20 : Gold Coast (Parklands)
January 25 : Adelaide (Showground)
January 26 : Melbourne (Flemington Racecourse)
January 28 : Perth (Claremont Showground)

Hey Anonymous,
Amended. Yes, the info from BDO was that they hadn’t appeared as part of a festival since 2000.

Red Hot Chili Peppers toured in 2007. I think you mean they haven’t headlined BDO since 2000.
