Sure Aussie songstress Natasha Duarte might not have the backing of a major international, but that certainly doesn’t mean that the summery 17 year old can’t pull a few punches of her own in the hard-fought battle for airtime and chart supremacy.
Her debut ‘Wanted To Feel’ EP made it to No.2 on the independent music charts and peaked within the top 20 on the ARIA Australian singles chart. She’s won both national and international accolades for her songwriting skills and has the likes of Glenn Wheatley and Russell Thomas in her corner and indie label Empire Records willing to do whatever it takes to get the girl noticed. And it seems to be working.
The latest single is the self-penned ‘Punch In The Heart’ (cover pictured), a track that’s entirely self-penned by the teen starlet. Natasha also came up with the concept for the official video (below).
From here on in, she can consider us also in her corner.
