While there’s been no official confirmation from Universal for a local release here yet, it’s looking very much likely that US R&B star Ne-Yo will be the latest to put his hat in the ring for what’s becoming an increasingly crowded September 14 release date.
Currently dropping their new albums on the same day are Clare Bowditch, Nelly Furtado, Wiz Khalifa, The Killers, Muse, Pet Shop Boys, P!nk and The Presets.
‘R.E.D. (Realizing Every Dream)’ is slated for European release on Monday September 17, in the US on Tuesday September 18 and the first single to be lifted from it is ‘Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)’, the video for which premiered earlier today.
It’s more of the same R&B/dance hybrid that’s been peppering our charts for the last couple of years. And while it still sounds current, we’d love to be hearing something different from our current crop of urban stars.
