It was early yesterday evening when the gang at Triple J broke the news that after 16 long years, US alternative outfit Weezer would be returning to Australian shores for a tour.
The upcoming quartet of shows (one each in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth) will see the band performing the tracks that have made them famous – from their 1994 debut ‘Undone – The Sweater Song’ to ‘Buddy Holly’, ‘Hash Pipe’ and ‘Beverly Hills’. They’ll also be performing their debut album – ‘The Blue Album’ – in its entirety from start to finish.
It’s only the second time in their history that they’ve toured Australia, so demand for tickets will undoubtedly be high when they go on sale on Thursday July 26.
