Credit must go to director Aaron Schuppan’s work on the latest video clip for Adelaide four piece City Riots. According to the presser heralding its release this week, “the video had to be edited entirely in still shots, second by second”, meaning hour upon hour of painstaking, meticulous editing work to create a video that’s altogether bold and refreshing.
We kick off with black and white silhouetted images of the band, before things start getting a little interesting around the 30 second mark, when ghostly images begin to appear within the silhouettes. The colour drops in shortly thereafter and it’s then that the depth of the layering in the clip really becomes apparent.
The single itself was released at the end of last month. The band’s debut album ‘Sea Of Bright Lights’ is due on Friday October 26.
