British based pop singer Mika came out earlier this month and confirmed to the world that he’s a gay man. So, with that in mind, there’s obviously plenty to ‘celebrate’ for pop’s now fully open and honest, brightest, fluffiest pop star.
And spreading love, happiness and positivity is pretty much what this track (and most of Mika’s tunes, come to think of it) seems to be about.
It seems our main man is suffering a bit of writers block when penning the new track. But a negative (endlessly tossing strips of white paper containing discarded lyrics on the floor) turns very much into a positive, when a gust of wind takes said pieces of paper and turns them into a downtown ticker tape festival.
Scenes of Mika’s adventure are intercut with imagery of others celebrating various occasions – birthdays, parties, engagements. It’s all a little bit infectious.
