We were a little perplexed when the first track from The Presets’ new album ‘Pacifica’ dropped early last month, because it wasn’t what you’d call “single material”. But the team at Modular had been super-careful not to call ‘Youth In Trouble’ the lead single from the album. Instead, that honour falls to the much more radio friendly ‘Ghosts’, which premiered yesterday (apologies for the delay – we’ve been waiting for the arrival of the official cover image, pictured).
The opening call to arms in this track are destined for big arenas, where Messrs Moyes and Hamilton will no doubt be hoping that screaming hordes will be belting it back at them. There’s more than a slight feeling that ‘Ghosts’ is a big stadium rock/pop/electro anthem more so than an out and out dancefloor delights for which The Presets have come to be known. It’s hella cool though.
