She’s riding high on a wave of success right now, brought about by her international smash hit ‘Call Me Maybe’ and her brand new platinum collaboration with Owl City ‘Good Time’, so it comes as no surprise that Canadian starlet Carly Rae Jepsen and her record company would want to be capitalising on it.
She’s announced that the name of her upcoming album is simply ‘Kiss’ and, as revealed here on the site weeks ago, it’ll drop in Australia in the middle of next month.
Carly Rae has been working with some big pop names on the new project too – with the likes of Max Martin, Dallas Austin, Redfoo of LMFAO fame and Toby Gad all confirmed as part of the writing and producing credits.
“These are lyric and song ideas that I have been collecting over the years,” Carly Rae said in a statement promoting the new release. “I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to be able to collaborate with some of my dream producers. It has been the most fulfilling experience. The record is pop. It’s inspired by Robyn, The Cars, Madonna, and believe it or not, James Taylor. I can’t wait to share it with everyone!”
‘Kiss’ will be released in Australia on Friday September 14.

Will she be a one-hit wonder?
I’m thinking she might be a ‘Jennifer Paige’ of ‘Crush’ fame.
But then again what do I know, I thought Katy Perry was gonna be one after I Kissed A Girl … lol
and look at her now!
