We admit to being blissfully unaware of Wes Carr’s meltdown aboard an Qantas international flights as the plane taxied down the runway at Sydney Airport back in 2010. He’d decided that something about the trip to Nashville didn’t feel quite right, so he kicked up quite the fuss and demanded to be let off the plane. Such was the kerfuffle that it returned to the gate, Wes stayed home in Australia, parted ways with Sony Music and subsequently, a new chapter of his musical life began. Buffalo is that new chapter.
And we’re thrilled to say that the new music is a lot more organic and raw than Wes’ major label material.
‘Blood & Bone’ tells the story of a journey from a couple of country towns in South Australia to the bright lights of a hotel on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.
“‘Blood and Bone’ is the reflection of where I had come from,” Wes says in a statement. “From that dusty little town in South Australia to the big, bold bankrupt Los Angeles. And where I saw myself going in the future. Trying to play this role I had inherited, which taught me about living out your truth and purpose and making that possible instead of sinking into a dark, lonely hole in an artificial world.”
The four track ‘Blood & Bone’ EP is available digitally now.

Huge Wes fan! He has been going on about Buffalo on his facebook, but in a way that I didn’t realise he had morphed into this new name, I just thought he was going on about a new artist he liked lol.
