After Meatloaf’s diabolical performance at last year’s Grand Final, the AFL has announced that they’re looking no further than their own backyard for this year’s “one day in September”, confirming that Aussie outfit The Temper Trap will take to the hallowed MCG turf to perform as part of an inaugural half-time show, along with a new free post-match concert, which will also feature legendary Aussie musician Paul Kelly.
The entertainment kicks off with performances by both Paul and You Am I frontman Tim Rogers before the game kicks off. Then following the football festivities late in the afternoon, the MCG will throw its doors open to welcome all and sundry for the spectacular free concert featuring The Temper Trap and Paul Kelly.
The 2012 Toyota AFL Grand Final takes place on Saturday September 29.
