Frontier Touring Company has this afternoon announced the cancellation of the forthcoming Far East Movement tour of Australia, which was due to take in all five major capitals, kicking off in Brisbane in just 12 days’ time.
The band was also due to take the stage at Newcastle’s Fat As Butter Festival on Saturday September 22, but presumably, their appearance there too will be cancelled.
In a statement released to media a short time ago, the band addressed their Australian and New Zealand fans, “We are sad to announce that we have to postpone our upcoming tour of your countries. We had some last-minute issues with our working visas that are now preventing us from travelling over there to rock for y’all. We gotta shout out every single basshead that was gonna come out and party with us in New Zealand and Australia. We appreciate your support and are working hard so that we can come back and perform for y’all asap. Until then keep turning up the love and spreading that dirty bass. Much love, Far East Movement.”
Full details of refunds are available at the FRONTIER WEBSITE.
