Sydney producer Flume may still only be 20 years of age, but his stocks have been rising consistently across the past couple of years. He’s held in such high regard as a performer and artist that he was asked to support The xx on their recent visit, has recently been part of Triple J’s House Party tour and is on the bill for this year’s national Parklife dates – and that’s all on top of his other exhaustive touring commitments.
Now he’s dropped a video for his single ‘Sleepless’, which has been doing the rounds for the past 12 months. After a stream of the track notched up more than 600,000 views in just 12 months, you know it’s pretty special.
It’s lush, rich, bubbling electro-pop that will be championed by the community radio sector, but totally ignored by the commercial – and that’s a crying shame, because this is electro-pop at its finest.
Putting it plainly, Flume’s a freaking superstar.

FLUME IS THE SHIT! I’ve seen him three times this year, cannot get enough. Such a God! Would see him a million times more.
