Though he’s enjoyed a string of chart successes in his native New Zealand that stretch back into the late 1970s, here in Australia Kiwi singer Dave Dobbyn is predominantly known for his one and only hit down under… ‘Slice Of Heaven’.
The track, released in 1986, was featured on the soundtrack to the ‘Footrot Flats’ movie ‘Footrot Flats: The Dog’s Tail Tale’ and made it all the way to the No.1 spot on the Aussie singles chart.
Staggeringly, it’s been 20 long years since Dave was last on Australian soil for live shows, but that will all change in November this year when he brings his ‘Greatest Hits’ show across the ditch for shows across the East Coast.
Dave will play in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane only, performing songs from across his 30 year career including that big hit ‘Slice Of Heaven’.
Tickets for all three shows are on sale on Monday.
November 14 : Melbourne (Corner Hotel)
November 15 : Sydney (The Basement)
November 16 : Brisbane (The HiFi)
