McManus Entertainment has revealed this morning that they’ll take US power pop band Blondie around the country in December this year for a series of live dates, predominantly across the East Coast.
The band will be on our shores for their recently announced appearance at Homebake in Sydney and during their visit will play dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart and Townsville.
Beginning in the mid 1970s, the band racked up a slew of chart hits including perennial favourites ‘Heart Of Glass’, ‘The Tide Is High’, ‘Rapture’, dance-floor favourite ‘Atomic’ and the iconic ‘Call Me’.
Their most recent album ‘Panic Of Girls’ was released last year.
Supporting the band at all shows are UK outfit The Stranglers, most famous perhaps for their 1982 single ‘Golden Brown’, as well as top 30 Aussie hits ‘Skin Deep’ and ‘Always The Sun’.
Aussie outfit The Saints will also play support for all shows except Sydney, which will see Machinations take their place.
Tickets for these six shows are on sale on Tuesday October 08.
