Such filth we sprout in the header, but fear not, we’ve not gone all potty-mouthed on you for no reason whatsoever. Oh no. That’s just not our style. No, we’ve gone a little potty-mouthed because ‘Bastards’ is actually the name of the Icelandic goddess’ forthcoming remix album, due for release in Australia next month.
Out through Breakaway Recordings, the album features remixes of tracks that featured on Björk’s recent studio album ‘Biophilia’ that have been crafted by the likes of Current Value, Death Grips, Hudson Mohawke, 16-bit, These New Puritans, and Sydney’s own The Slips.
“I was incredibly impressed by how the core of the mixes took Biophilia somewhere else while still keeping its character, and like they so often do when at their best: the remixes gave the songs more beats; legs to dance on! I spent some time editing together not necessarily the best ones but the ones that made the strongest whole,” Björk said of the new release.
‘Bastards’ will drop in Australia on both CD and vinyl from Friday November 23.
