British pop star Robbie Williams is spreading the word about his brand new album ‘Take The Crown’, taking to YouTube to discuss some of the finer points of the album’s creation.
The title is about wresting back control of the charts that have, in the years since Rob’s last LP, seen the rise of artists like Flo Rida, Pitbull, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj.
“I want to fight anybody that wants to come in my way in the pop kingdom,” Rob said about ‘Take The Crown’. “I want to retain the crown that I once had. Still may have. I want to communicate to people that I love this job and I’ll fight for it.”
And the album will feature a distinctly local flavour, with Rob revealing that he wrote most of it within a matter of days with relative Aussie unknowns Undercolours.
In the clip below, he and Jacknife Lee talk about some of the finer points of the new record, which is due at Aussie retail on Friday week.
