It was announced in late September that British outfit Bombay Bicycle Club were headed back to our shores early in the new year for a quartet of new dates, following on from their support showing on the Elbow tour earlier this year.
But news through from Live Nation late today confirms that there are to be changes to the tour including the cancellation of one concert, date changes for all three remaining shows and venues changes for two.
Firstly, the Adelaide show, set down for the Thebarton Theatre on January 03 is now cancelled.
The Melbourne date, originally on January 02, will move to new years day and to the Regal Ballroom.
The Sydney show, set down for January 07, will move to January 02 and from the Enmore Theatre to the Factory Theatre.
And the Brisbane show, slated for January 09, will now take place on January 03. The venue (The Tivoli) remains the same.
“Hello Australia,” the band said in a statement. “Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve had to move around the headline shows we previously announced and cancel the Adelaide show. We are hugely apologetic to anyone who can’t make the new shows or who we’ve inconvenienced by making these changes but they were unavoidable.”
Remaining tickets to the remaining three dates are on sale now.
