British songstress Ellie Goulding is currently experiencing a splash of chart success in Australia via her single ‘Anything Can Happen’, which has been featured heavily in recent Coca Cola commercials. It’s peaked inside the ARIA top 20, but this week sits at No.30.
Moving swiftly along, however, Ms Goulding has unveiled the official video for single No.2 from her album ‘Halcyon’ – the rather intoxicating ‘Figure 8’.
You can hear the pain in Ellie’s voice as she sings about the love lost, chasing her tail through her pits of despair, while the stylish electronic soundtrack froths beneath her. And the crescendo of the chorus is grand, extravagant and altogether breathtaking.
We’re loving this and would love for some forward-thinking MD at a Nova or 2Day station to give this girl the support she deserves down under.
