One of our favourite popsters is back with a brand new album – and if the first single ‘Candy’ is anything to go by, there’s set to be plenty to like when Robbie Williams’ ‘Take The Crown’ officially hits retail in Australia today.
The album’s name, of course, is a cheeky play on words, with Rob throwing down the gauntlet to all the pop pretenders that with this new record, he’s here to ‘take the pop crown’ back. Given ‘Candy’ is No.1 in the mid-weeks in the UK, it seems like he’s well on track to doing so.
There’s something for everyone on this new LP, which Rob has described as being laden with smash hits.
“My main priority was to write what I consider, and hopefully what the world would consider, to be hits. I’m very excited,” he said in a statement.
And given we’ve got such a soft spot for Rob, how could we not possibly team up with the gang at Universal Music and offer you the chance to win a copy of the new album all for your ownsome? Yes, we have five of these bad boys to give away.
Email us with your name and postal address and in the subject line pop the term “Robbie’s My Universe” and we’ll pop you into the draw to win a copy!
Competition closes at 10:00pm AEDT on Friday November 09, 2012. Only one entry per residence and email address will be accepted. Open to Australian residents only. Winners drawn entirely at random using our technologically advanced raffle tickets in a stay-fresh tub system. Winners’ first names, suburbs/towns and states will be published on the site on Saturday November 10, 2012. Five fabulous auspOppers will each receive a copy of the new Robbie Williams album ‘Take The Crown’, with big thanks to one big spunk at Universal Music. And as always, said ‘big spunk’ will not be privy to your contact details. Just us – and just for the purposes of prize distribution, should you win.
THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.

Ended up buying the Deluxe edition today and although the cardboard slip it comes in has the “Regal” front, the actually booklet is the “Roar” art work!
Wonder how the Deluxe booklet compares to the standard editions? :S

Sounds feasible to us, Mike…

I “think” I’ve figured it out… the Standard Edition comes in either Regal OR Roar cover art. The Roar being a “collectors” item (and there only being a “limited” run produced).
The Deluxe Edition, which has the 2 bonus tracks and DVD only has the Regal cover art.

Sound right?

Colour us confused too, Mike.
We’d always assumed the Roar Edition would be something over and above the standard and deluxe.
We’re yet to spy the Road Edition either.

Mike says
Do you know if the Roar edition is limited to the standard CD only? I’ve been to two different JB Hi-Fi’s and neither of them have the deluxe edition with the Roar cover art.
Confused!

So is the Roar edition only available for the standard cd? I’ve been to 2 different JB HiFi’s and can’t find the deluxe edition with the Roar cover.
Confused!

Hey Ian,
According to Amazon UK, the Road Edition comes with limited edition artwork;
