So we’ve not yet got over the excitement of new Girls Aloud music for 2012, let alone this week’s servicing of the track to local media, it’s Aussie release OR the release of the girls’ best-of album ‘Ten’ here in Australia.
Now they’ve served up the second helping of their new collection, ‘Beautiful Cause You Love Me’.
Whereas ‘Something New’ is the bold, brash, bright, blindingly flashy pop song of female empowerment, ‘Beautiful Cause You Love Me’ is the slow jam of self-assuredness in the wake of feeling loved.
It was penned by UK singer Maiday, who also lent her talents to the Wretch 32 track ‘Don’t Go’. As Girls Aloud member Nicola Roberts, from the moment she heard the song, she knew where it was destined to end up.
“After I heard the first line, I said, ‘STOP! That’s our song’,” she said in a statement.
Kimberley Walsh agreed. “As soon as I heard it, from the first line onwards, I agreed with Nicola – we had to get that song.”
It’s due to hit retail in the UK on December 17. No word yet for down under, but the song will be available on ‘Ten’ when it’s released here on Friday November 30.

It’s a real change of pace to hear Nicola take the lead instead of Nadine. Amazing stuff
