Right, so there’s been ‘Nothing But The Beat’, ‘Nothing But The Beat : The Xmas Edition’ and then came ‘Nothing But The Beat 2.0’. That’s three different editions of David Guetta’s latest album, each with extra tracks or bonuses.
But with Christmas now less than a month away, the superstar DJ has decided to drag all the tracks from the ‘Nothing But The Beat’ project together to create what’s been called ‘Nothing But The Beat : Ultimate’.
It’s set to contain 29 tracks including ten singles, all housed within a double disc set. And, naturally, there’s a new single lifted from the project to highlight the new release.
‘Just One Last Time’ (cover image below) follows on from (deep breath) ‘Sweat’, ‘Where Them Girls At’, ‘Little Bad Girl’, ‘Without You’, ‘Titanium’, ‘Turn Me On’, ‘I Can Only Imagine’ and ‘She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)’ along with other promotional singles and will be available on the re-re-repackaged album when it drops into the shops on Friday December 07.

Hi JestaCat… Personally I would never buy any artists’ ‘re-packs’ if I have already purchased the album. I am just left feeling put out.
And, as someone who did buy David Guetta’s ‘Nothing But The Beat’ album in September 2011, I have no issues ‘illegally’ downloading the missing content; as I feel I have already supported the artist for this project.
Had he simply released a new album he might have made another sale.
I also am unlikely to immediately buy any new album of his now until enough time has passed that I dont think it will have extra tracks tacked on in a similar manner.
I really don’t understand how the record companies dont see the repercussions of what they are doing; instead they want to blame the consumers.

Wow, and the music industry blame patrons for not buying anymore. How many times is a fan expected to buy the same set to get 10-20% new content?
I guess it works though: an observation of insanity is doing the same thing again and again in hope for a different outcome – they must be getting the sales.
