December 01 marks World AIDS Day around the world and superstar DJ Tiesto is doing his bit to spread the word that the disease, which first came to prominence in the early 1980s, has not gone away and is still responsible for the deaths of almost two million people globally every year.
To spread the word, he’s teamed up with Bono to produce a brand new version of U2’s classic hit ‘Pride (In The Name Of Love)’. The track is featured on Tiesto’s new digital compilation ‘Dance (RED) Saves Lives’, available HERE on the local iTunes store.
Brilliantly, $11.58 of the album’s $13.99 purchase price will go directly towards Bono’s (RED) Charity, which aims to fight the disease in Africa. Though more than $200 million raised thus far, more money is always needed for prevention, treatment and education.
Tiesto will also present a live stream of his Melbourne Stereosonic set later today on (RED)’s Youtube channel HERE.
