EMI will release the new album for Aussie singer songwriter Bob Evans in March.
Entitled ‘Familiar Stranger’ (cover art pictured above), the LP will follow on from his recently released ‘The Double Life’ EP and is the singer’s fourth full-length release, following on from his 2009 album ‘Goodnight, Bull Creek!’.
Says Bob of the new release, “Because the songs are mostly personal reflections of the last three years of my life it felt like I was creating a soundtrack as much as an album. Musically the songs go off in lots of different directions but conceptually the words are all tied in to the same theme.
“I had the tracklisting worked out before we started recording which I’ve never done before but it meant we could tie songs together and hopefully create something that encourages people to listen from start to finish, the old fashioned way!”
‘Familiar Stranger’ will be released on Friday March 15.
