It looks at though Mister Barry Southgate (see previous post) doesn’t have the ‘O Holy Night’ stakes all to himself this year, with Cosima Devito also rolling out a version of the track.
And with those big diva vocals that Cosima’s renowned for, she most certainly a) doesn’t disappoint and b) doesn’t hold back.
Musically, it’s stripped right back to piano and vocal, allowing a powerful, effortless vocal performance by Ms Devito to take centre stage. Hopefully she’ll be splashed across our TV screens over the festive season belting this out to prove just what an amazing and underrated vocalist she is. Goosebump-inducing stuff.

Personally I love this version and think that the cover shot is great. Cosima has never looked better and it’s so great to have her back.

Phenomenal voice on a version basically mirroring Celine Dion’s version… But who on earth is in charge of her branding and cover art?? It is truly horrendous.
She has the potential to look great, but instead it is one big mess from her styling to the fonts used… And it is holding her back from being a big star that people get excited to listen to and see.

I’ve gone off her ever since she had to skip that night on Idol with a sore throat

ugh really? I adore this song but not Cosima’s version. So much more looking forward to Delta’s christmas cd coming out on Friday.

Damn! It’s so sweet to start with then she just roars towards the end. Her voice is so powerful.
I remember seeing her sing When The War Is Over live in the City for and outdoor show. When she hit those massive notes she seriously nearly blew out the speakers she was belting it so hard.
Amazing…iTunes here I come.

You said it. Cosima is such an under-rated talent. She deserves to be supported and her music heard.
Right Here, Right Now is one of my fav singles this year.
