He was held off the No.1 spot by all-conquering British boyband One Direction, but a No.2 debut for 20 year old Sydney producer Flume and his self-titled debut album was a no less astronomical result for someone whose star has most definitely been on the rise throughout 2012.
Now comes another accolade – a gold sales accreditation for said album, presented to him by his label Future Classic (pictured).
The album reached the milestone after just five weeks on the charts.
In other news, Flume has announced that he’s inked deals which will see the album released both in America and throughout Europe. In Europe and Britain, the album will get a release via Transgressive/Co-Op on February 18, while Stateside, Mom + Pop Records will drop the album on February 19.
