West Australian outfit Birds Of Tokyo have today announced the forthcoming release of their brand new album.
‘March Fires’ is the band’s fourth full-length studio album and, as its title suggests, is due in March. Containing 11 new recordings, including lead single ‘This Fire’, the album will reportedly reflect the “change and renewal” the band has undergone throughout the past 12 months. Guitarist Adam Spark explains.
“We really made a conscious choice to just put a match to everything we’d done before so that we could create something that felt fresh and exciting for us,” he said. “Hopefully people who like the band will feel the same way when they hear it.”
To celebrate the release of ‘March Fires’ on Friday March 01, the band has announced the ‘March Fires’ tour.
Kicking off at the University Of Ballarat on February 27, the tour will wind through all states except the Northern Territory until late March. Fan club tickets are on sale this Thursday at 9am, with general public tickets on sale on Friday.
