It’s been doing the rounds online for the best part of two months, but now Paulini’s brand new single ‘Heartbreak Is Over’ is out and about – and vying for your attention. Remixes come courtesy of Oxford Husters, Peachy and Murphy and Foniko and have been serviced to clubs across the country.
‘Heartbreak Is Over’ is the follow-up to last year’s ‘Fireman’, which got Paulini noticed in clubs across the world and saw her performing at New York City’s Pride event. The track is lifted from Paulini’s forthcoming third solo album, which is set for release later this year.
Of the LP, Paulini says, “I’ve poured my heart into these lyrics and melodies that sort of play the role of reflecting those lessons of love and life I’ve learned along the past few years, both good and bad, making me who I am today.”
We’re told the album is a mix up upbeat soul numbers and “breathtaking ballads inspired by her idol, the late Whitney Houston”.
More news as it comes to hand.

I give up on Paulini! It has been 6 years since her last album came out. When Scarless came out in 2009, she said the new album would be released in 2010. Never happened. Then her website said it would be released in 2011. Never happened. Then she said it would be released in 2012. Never happened. What is she waiting for? a hit single? Never gonna happen because she’s an independent artist. She should just release the album for the fans and not worry about charts or sales.

We really ought to cast a much more critical eye over things sometimes, Nick. THAT is what’s commonly referred to as a clanger.
Thanks.

Isn’t it called Heartbreak is Over and not Heartbreak on Hold?
