The Australian Recording Industry Association has today revealed the list of their top 100 tracks for the year 2012, with Canadian songstress Carly Rae Jepsen triumphing over all with her global mega-hit ‘Call Me Maybe’.
The track beat Psy’s global smash ‘Gangnam Style’ and our own Guy Sebastian’s ‘Battle Scars’ to be crowned the year’s biggest hit down under, with two tracks from Flo Rida making up the rest of the top five.
Sadly, however, only 11 Australian artists place in the top 100 singles chart.
On the albums side of things, Australia’s love affair with US singer P!nk continues – her album ‘The Truth About Love’ conquering all, including albums by One Direction, Adele, Michael Buble and Ed Sheeran, whose LPs make up the rest of the top five respectively.
Here’s how the top 100s settled at the end of the 2012 calendar year (Aussies in italics);

Hey auspop, do you know where I could find out about the other end of year charts, e.g Dance Singles Chart.
Thanks, Zachary

Good to see Guy in both top 10 albums and singles. Also glad to see Calvin Harris in the top 100’s with his album 18 Months and singles Sweet Nothing and We’ll Be Coming Back. Also happy to see some of my faves from the year make it into the chart:
Bom Bom, Levels, Good Time, Never Let Me Go, Brokenhearted, How We Do (Party), Spectrum (Say My Name), This Is Love, Some Nights, Die Young, Don’t You Worry Child and many more.
Glad to see Gangnam Style kept from number 1 by Carly Rae Jepsen.
