To say British outfit The xx have enjoyed an extraordinary run of success thus far is an understatement.
Their 2010 self-titled debut won them not only critical acclaim across the globe, but an esteemed Mercury Prize to go with it. Their follow-up ‘Coexist’, released last year, was heaped with similar praise.
No wonder then that the band’s first two headline shows on Australian soil sold out completely just minutes after going on sale.
So this time around, The xx have upped the ante, announcing a national tour that will take in four headline shows – one each in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth – kicking off in the west at Perth’s Metro City on Tuesday April 02.
Tickets for all shows are on sale from midday tomorrow.
April 02 : Perth (Metro City)
April 04 : Melbourne (Festival Hall)
April 07 : Sydney (Hordern Pavilion)
April 09 : Brisbane (Convention & Exhibition Centre)
