Michael Buble will release a brand new album in April.
The new LP is entitled ‘To Be Loved’ and will be preceded by a new single called ‘It’s A Beautiful Day’, which will make its way to radio locally on Monday and be released digitally on Tuesday.
Australia’s love affair with Michael continues unabated, with his album ‘Christmas’ notching up eight times platinum sales across the past year, bagging the No.1 spot on the ARIA albums chart for nine weeks (five in 2011 and four in 2012).
According to Warner, the LP is set to contain a selection of standards, along with four tracks that have been co-penned by the singer himself.
Cover versions include ‘Nevertheless (I’m In Love With You)’, ‘To Love Somebody’, ‘To Be Loved’, ‘Have I Told You Lately’ and ‘Who’s Loving You’, along with a duet of ‘Something Stupid’ with Hollywood starlet Reese Witherspoon.
“My new record is about love, happiness, fun and yummy things,” Michael announced. “Getting to work with my friend and longtime collaborator Bob Rock, who produced the entire album, was very exciting. We’re a good team. I love the songs we selected this time out. It was also terrific working once again with my songwriting partners.”
‘To Be Loved’ will hit Australian retail on Friday April 12.
