Theo and Adam from British electropop duo Hurts burst onto the music scene late in 2010 to wild applause for their bursting-with-confidence debut LP ‘Happiness’. The album contained the very New Order-esque lead single ‘Better Than Love’, along with the spectacular ‘Wonderful Life’ – a track we named our Pop Single Of The Year for 2010.
Now the boys are back with their new album ‘Exile’, the cover image for which (above) they unveiled over the weekend.
Released at the start of next month, ‘Exile’ features lead single ‘Miracle’, which was serviced to media by Sony here in Australia last week.
The clip is also now doing the rounds and it all kicks off with the most ghostly image of a face slowly emerging from a body of milk.
It’s another artistic piece, light on colour, which features a quartet of dancers on the street, a group of almost gothic anarchists, religious connotations via the burning crosses and the boys seeking salvation from a queen-like goddess. We don’t know what it all means, but it’s rather lovely.
