British chat show host Graham Norton recently proclaimed UK songstress Laura Mvula to be the “new Emeli Sandé”. She was a guest on the show to perform a track called ‘Green Garden’ – a track lifted from her forthcoming debut album ‘Sing To The Moon’.
And while Emeli’s far from being an old face – or a spent force – on the music scene, Laura is already beginning to make her mark, nominated for the Critic’s Choice gong at this year’s Brit Awards.
Though she ultimately lost out to Tom Odell, there’s still plenty of excitement brewing ahead of her album’s release next month – and Australia looks set to join in on the Mvula action, with Sony confirming the album will be made available locally in both standard and deluxe editions.
‘Sing To The Moon’ will be released in Australia on Friday March 15.
